All about Jegsy
Jegsy's Intro
Who am I? No one knows, least of all me. But philosophy aside, my name is James Edward Gordon Steele (Jegsy or Jim to my friends or just James-Edward to relatives); I was born on the day of St John of Beverley on May 7th, 1984 in the small rural town of Beverley in Northern England. I was named James after my great, great grandfather James Knight, Edward after my grandfather Edward 'Ted' Fifield and Gordon after my great uncle Gordon Wallace Gibson, a rogue and social rebel (my parents must regard the latter with Irony).
Further glimpse
I grew up in the English countryside near Howton Hall, the home of Lord and Lady Manton on the outskirts of the city of York. I spent 5 years at Market Weighton Senior School, and an additional 2 years at Market Weighton 6th Form College. In September 2002 I began studying History and Archaeology at the University of Hull and discovering Hulls nightlife. If you want to get into my good books, my favourite type of music is rock particularly Aerosmith! My favourite drink is a black Russian (cocktail) and my favourite food is Italian... lasagne! In my spare time I enjoy hiking, fencing, movies, and of course the clubs. When i've drunk too much i'm told i'm one of the funniest sights as i go hyper and do some of the most stupid things imaginable, my friends Jerry and Brian were kind enough to feed the drunk hyper me, cold gravy, expired orange juice and jam one night.
On the 6th July 2002, i was given land at Glenmore, Sanday Island, which was named Anselan and entitled me to the title 'Laird', although i chose not to use the title, nothing in a name.... "Life's a journey not a destination"... thats the philosophy of Aerosmith.
About the Family Roots
The name Steele orginated from Scotland; it means 'a sloping or slanting raised ground', Steele derived from the word steep. The spelling of Steele in my family has changed much over the centuries. My grandfather was a man to admire, a man who was eager to fight in North Africa and even late in life he ran a post office in a rough area of Hull and had dealt with armed robberies well into his 60's, recieving numerous bravery awards.
My great grandfather i take after in looks, he was a engineer from Scarborough.
